The Fulton Elementary Library Media Program Mission:
The school library media center will will provide school community members with access to a diverse and highly-recommended selection of literature, information, technology, and media sources that support curricular goals and the interests of all stakeholders. We will strive to motivate students to inquire, think critically, gain knowledge, and share information in an ethical manner. We will foster life-long learners by promoting reading as a foundational skill for learning, personal growth, and enjoyment. We will be collaborative instructional partners who support classroom instruction and student achievement. We will adhere to policies and procedures and advocate for the Intellectual Freedom of all stakeholders. We will provide a safe and nurturing environment that supports and fosters successful learning.

Access:
All students have 45 minutes of library media instruction per week. Students can visit the library before the morning and afternoon bells with the permission of their teacher. Teachers can access the library any time.
Checkout:
Students may check out the following number of books:
Kindergarten and 1st grade 1 book each week 2nd and 3rd - 2 books each week 4th and 5th - 3 books *Books needed for assignments are not included.
Books may be renewed as long as no one has requested it.
Overdue books can result in the suspension of borrowing privileges. Damaged and lost books must be paid for before borrowing privileges are allowed.
Book Hospital
Please report any damage to books to the library staff. Our book hospital helps keep our books in good shape.
